Customers of NatWest and RBS have found their banking apps have gone down this morning. Many people have tweeted their frustration at not being able to access their funds.
It is understood the technical problems started at around 8.20am with more than 2,000 people saying they have been affected, according to outage tracker DownDetector.
The Mirror reports that more than 1,700 NatWest customers are saying they can't get into their online bank accounts. More than 200 people say they are having problems with RBS accounts.
Twitter user Acklamfoods @acklamfoods said he was having problems with his NatWest account: "Help when will the app issue get resolved please? Need to make some urgent payments this morning and its down."
Mark Champion was also affected by the NatWest problem: "Can't log on says cant connect ??"
User @cb_rns said: "Am I the only me who can’t get into their NatWest account on their phone?"
RBS customer Grant Lyall tweeted: "Unable to access digital banking via the app this morning. Checked everything at my end and all ok. Is there an issue? App says unable to connect to service."
Natasha tweeted RBS saying: "Your app is down and I can’t get in at all and need to pay rent, and your account has completely logged me out."
NatWest on twitter wrote: "We are hoping to get this resolved in the next 30-45 minutes. Please use alternative banking ways in the mean time if it is urgent. You can try online banking through the browser and telephone banking."
