‘Nato is in America’s interests’: British PM Keir Starmer defends alliance after US withdrawal threat

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Friday said Nato is firmly “in America’s interests,” as he issued a strong defence of the alliance while acknowledging that European nations must do more.

He described Nato as “the single most effective military alliance the world has ever known,” adding that it has kept both Europe and the US far safer for decades.
