New Delhi: The Reservation Bachao Sangharsh Samiti has called for a nationwide Bharat Bandh today on August 21, 2024, in response to a Supreme Court ruling that allows sub-categorization within SC/ST reservations.

Police across several states, especially in Uttar Pradesh, are on high alert to maintain law and order. Emergency services will remain operational during the strike.

The ruling, which states, "Those who really need it should get priority in reservation," has sparked widespread debate and prompted this large-scale protest.
