A National Trust estate is facing a hay shortage as grass growth has stalled in drought conditions, with livestock forced on to winter feed months early.
Hay meadows that normally produce 150 tonnes at Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire have yielded nothing, the conservation charity said.
