National Lottery players are being urged to double check their tickets after a £10,000 a month prize has gone unclaimed.
Two winning tickets were announced in the National Lottery's £10,000-a-Month-for-30 Years Set For Life draw on August 1. However, only one winner has come forward.
Lottery officials have revealed that the other winner bought their ticket online either through the National Lottery website or through its app.
They are now urging lottery players to "log into their National Lottery account and then call 0333 234 50 50 in order to make their claim." The prize will only be available for 180 days before it is officially withdrawn.
Set For Life offers a winning prize of £10,000-a-month for 30 years for anyone who matches all five main numbers and the Life Ball. On August 1, the main numbers were 7, 11, 19, 31, 47 and the Life Ball number was 9.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “It’s only a week since the draw but someone really could be ‘set for life’ with this amazing prize, if only they would come forward. We’re urging all Set For Life players to log into their National Lottery account as soon as possible.”
Once a ticket-holder calls Camelot and validates their claim, they will then be allowed to decide whether or not to go public with the good news. It comes after Calemot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of the National Lottery, confirmed that someone finally claimed the £20 million jackpot prize from the special 'Must Be Won' Lotto draw on Saturday.
It is not yet currently known who has won the prize as the claim will be going through a validation process.
