Amidst the rising concerns over women's safety and the need for self-defense skills, the 15th edition of the All India Budo Shoto Karate Association (AIBSKA-JSKA) National Karate Championship concluded on August 24th and 25th, 2024, at The Spring Club, Kolkata. The event marked a significant milestone in the promotion of martial arts across the country, with students from various age groups showcasing their karate skills with remarkable enthusiasm and determination.
In a powerful show of solidarity, this year's championship was dedicated to the ongoing nationwide protests against the heinous crime at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata. Sensei Tirthankar Nandy, the Founder and Director of AIBSKA-JSKA, reaffirmed the martial arts community's firm stance against such atrocities, stressing the importance of unity and resilience in the face of adversity.
