National Games 2023: Elakkiyadasan, Sneha emerge fastest

Tamil Nadu's Elakkiyadasan VK stole the limelight from India's fastest man Manikanta Hoblidhar as he won the men's 100m gold in the 37th National Games in Bambolim, Goa, on Sunday. Karnataka's Sneha SS emerged as the fastest woman athlete of the meet winning the 100m dash in 11.45 seconds.

The much-anticipated battle in the men's final did not live up to the expectations at the Athletics Stadium as the Services athlete failed to reproduce his Open Nationals form and settled for fourth place in 10.46 seconds behind Elakkiyadasan (10.36s), Maharashtra's Gurav Pranav (10.41) and Services' Saurabh Rajesh (10.45).
