Georgia has a commitment from the No. 1 ranked player in the class of 2024, quarterback Dylan Raiola. Now, the question on everyone’s mind is whether the Bulldogs can secure the commitment of the No. 1 ranked prospect in the class of 2025 as well. That would give yet another meaning to “back-to-back,” a term Georgia has become awfully familiar with lately.
That would be defensive tackle Elijah Griffin, the top ranked player in the nation for the class of 2025, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He hails from Savannah, Georgia.
Griffin posted from personal Twitter account that he’ll be visiting the Georgia Bulldogs on June 1.
I will be back in ATHENS June 1st!!!

The 6-foot-4, 270 pound lineman visited South Carolina and Clemson last weekend. Griffin last visited Georgia in April for UGA’s annual G-Day game.
According to 247Sports, Georgia and South Carolina are the top contenders at the moment.
Georgia’s pursuit of Griffin began early, with the Bulldogs offering him a scholarship in middle school when he was only 13 years old in September 2020. This early show of faith from Kirby Smart, the head coach, has undoubtedly made a lasting impression on Griffin.
Last season, as a sophomore at Savannah Christian Preparatory School, he recorded 82 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks.
