A third-generation winemaker who believes in co-operating with his competitors for the greater good of Australia's vineyards has been honoured for his service to Australia's wine and tourism industries.

Ross Mathews Brown, a 76-year-old retired executive director of Brown Family Wine Group, receives the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) as part of Australia Day celebrations.
