Nation first is the core of BJP’s value, says MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a blog written on the foundation day of the BJP said that the BJP has always stood by its values and principles and it will continue to work on its philosophy of "nation comes first". We work on the principle of "Charaiveti Chariaveti", set new targets of public welfare and move further, he wrote.

Excerpts:

"Respected Atalji used to say- "Andhera Chhatega, Suraj Niklega Aur Kamal Khilega''. ( Darkness will go away, Sun will come out and lotus will bloom). This has been a source of inspiration for party workers like us. All the subjects which relate to integrity, culture, traditions and social issues of the country became the foundation stone of the BJP. We received the blessings of thinkers like Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pt.

Deendayal Upadhyay in laying the foundation of the party, the former strongest political team of the country- Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani- worked to strengthen the party on the ground and the grand edifice of the BJP that we see today has been translated into reality by the visionary leadership of Narendra Modi, resolution of Amit Shah and hard work of party president Naddaji."

"Today, BJP has become synonymous with public welfare. People have imbibed the BJP. People are getting involved with the BJP. People are able to identify themselves with the BJP's resolve of development but it has not happened in a day. It's a result of 42 years of struggle, hard work of party workers, strong resolution of nationalism and commitment to public welfare. Right from the beginning, welfare of the weakest among the weak was at the core of the party's philosophy on the one hand and two symbols, two constitutions and two heads in one nation can't be tolerated on the other."

"There were many twists and turns in the BJP's 42-year-old journey. At one point, the strength of the party was reduced to only two in the Lok Sabha. Yet, the BJP didn't deviate from, raising the issues of nationalism and public welfare,” he wrote.
