Manchester City defender Nathan Ake has announced the birth of his daughter to his 1.1million Instagram followers.
In a combined post with his wife, Kaylee Ramman, Ake announced that his child was born over the course of this weekend. In the heartwarming statement, the couple wrote: "The most special feeling in the world.
"We love you so much baby girl." Ake was absent from the City squad on Saturday having come on as a substitute for the Blues in midweek against Chelsea.

Despite concerns that Ake may have picked up an injury, it has now become clear that there was an altogether happier reason for his matchday absence. The birth of his daughter comes just days after the centre-back was called up to Louis van Gaal's squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
City's last game in the Premier League before the start of the World Cup ended in disappointment as the Blues slipped to defeat against Brentford. The Bees took the lead through Ivan Toney before Phil Foden equalised in stoppage time at the end of the first half.
As Pep Guardiola's side pushed for a winner they were caught on the break with Toney tapping in his second of the match to secure the three points. City now find themselves five points behind Arsenal in the Premier League after the Gunners beat Wolves in the late kick-off on Saturday.
City return to league action on December 28 when they travel to Leeds United.
