Natasha Jonas will bid to become a two-weight world champion when she takes on Kandi Wyatt for the vacant IBF welterweight title next month.
Jonas, who already holds the WBC, IBF and WBO super-welterweight crowns, will move down to welterweight for the bout at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday, July 1. The first female British boxer to qualify for an Olympic Games, Jonas, who was named the 2022 Fighter of the Year by the British Boxing Board of Control, now has the chance to enhance her legacy further.
"Every time I think I’ve done enough in the sport, another opportunity presents itself to step things up," she said.
