Natalie Portman has reunited with her husband Benjamin Millepied after it was reported he had an affair with a 25-year-old woman.
The actress appeared to wipe away tears as they were spotted having a seemingly tense conversation while sitting on a park bench.
It's the first time Natalie and Benjamin have been seen together since reports that he cheated on his wife of nine years with climate activist Camille Étienne.
Speaking to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James has said it would have been a tough meeting for the couple, with Natalie appearing to be "vulnerable and unhappy".
"The complete contrast in their body language does seem to hint this was not an easy meeting for the couple, whose poses suggest little in the way of like-minded thinking here," she said.
In the pictures, Natalie sat forward on the bench and had a tense look on her face, while her husband lent back and clenched his fists.
At one point, Natalie rested her head on the top of the bench.
Judi told us: "Benjamin sits back, splayed and grim faced in a pose that would normally suggest confidence and superiority rather than any apology.
"His legs are crossed and the hand with the sunglasses in it seems part-balled into a clench.
"His brows are pulled into a frown and he gazes out ahead, suggesting reflection and thinking rather than an active conversation."
The expert added: "Although her husband leans back here, Natalie sits and leans forward, as self-diminished as he is splayed, with her shoulders hunched and her hands clasped.
"She looks vulnerable and unhappy in this photo as she also gazes ahead in what looks like silence."
In another picture, Benjamin can be seen leaning toward his wife as she seemed to wipe away tears.
"We can see Benjamin leaning towards Natalie, with his hand on the back of the seat apparently close enough to touch," Judi said.
"Natalie keeps her shades on, which hides her eye expression, and her mouth is part open and pulled down at the corners, suggesting sadness.
"Her index finger does look close to her left eye but it’s not clear whether she is dabbing a tear or just straightening her sunglasses."
Natalie and Benjamin tied the knot in 2012 and they share two children together - 11-year-old son Aleph and six-year-old daughter Amalia.
According to reports, the pair have been on the rocks since November last year.
