Natalie Portman is “counting down the days” until her due date.
The 45-year-old actress is expecting her third child - her first with partner Tanguy Destable - and took to Instagram to share a stunning pregnancy portrait.
In the snap, she was seen showing off her bare bump in an open blue shirt, tenderly cradling her stomach while looking down.
She wrote alongside the Instagram image: “Counting the days until we meet you.”
Natalie went on to thank photographer Shelby Duncan for her “talent”.
Comments on the picture immediately started to flood in, with many coming from Natalie’s celebrity friends.
Julianne Moore wrote: “Beautiful”, while Jennifer Garner and Gwyneth Paltrow both commented with red love heart emojis.
The Black Swan star is already mum to 15-year-old son Aleph and nine-year-old daughter Amalia with her ex-husband Benjamin Millepied.
Natalie announced in April that she was pregnant, telling Harper’s Bazaar at the time: “Tanguy and I are very excited. I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
Earlier this year, Natalie spoke about motherhood in a chat with Interview magazine, as she said: “My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are.
“And also, I've been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that's pretty fun."
She also reflected on being a parent in a since-deleted Instagram post to mark Mother’s Day, as she said: “I’m blessed by my kids who turned me into a mom and make me smile and laugh every single day.
“Who make me appreciate my mom even more for all the invisible things she did for me that I realise now as I try to live up to her mothering."
Natalie has also done her best to maintain a level of privacy for her kids, telling Jenna Ortega for Interview: “I'm not a particularly private person in real life - I'll tell you anything - but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more.
“I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, 'I'm not going to do photo shoots with my kids.'"
