Natalie Imbruglia's Masked Singer Panda secret nearly ruined by son at airport

Natalie Imbruglia was left in a state of panic after her son exposed her Masked Singer secret at an airport, sharing her relief that no-one clocked what he said.

After six weeks of having us all being Sherlock Holmes on the sofa, the crazy and much loved ITV show came to an end for another year on Saturday, with Torn singer Natalie the 2022 winner as Panda.

Natalie, who has also had hits with the likes of Big Mistake and Smoke, battled it out against Mark Feehily's Robobunny and Charlotte Church 's Mushroom for this year's crown and triumphed in the last studio audience vote of the series to triumph.

Unlike Mark, who was rumbled by Rita Ora and Charlotte, who was guessed by everyone but Davina McCall, Natalie went undetected, with the panel even failing to pick up on the 'wrong impression' song title clue in her final VT.

In the aftermath of her Masked Singer victory, the former Neighbours star appeared on Monday's This Morning, joining hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary in the studio.

And, it was during the interview that Natalie shared her regret at telling her two-year-old son that she was Panda.

She explained: "I thought I'd be safe to tell my two-year-old son because he can't really speak yet right?

"I was showing him little clips because he loves pandas. So then we were at the airport coming home from Australia and this little girl had a wheely bag with a panda on the back of it and he just runs up and goes 'Mummy! Mummy!' and I was sort of like argh!"

Dermot joked: "Keep it down!" as Natalie added: "Rumbled."

Right at the end of Saturday's Masked Singer final it was confirmed that it's spin-off show The Masked Dancer will return this year.

The first series was won by Olympic gymnast and former Strictly winner Louis Smith last summer in the guise of Carwash.
