April Nymex natural gas (NGJ24) on Monday closed +0.081 (+4.41%).
Nat-gas prices on Monday climbed to a 4-week hgh and settled sharply higher after EQT Corp, the largest U.S. nat-gas producer, said it will cut about 30 to 40 billion cubic feet of net production through March in response to low prices. EQT Corp added the production cuts are "in response to the current low natural gas price environment resulting from warm winter weather and consequent elevated storage inventories."
