Nat-Gas Prices Gain as Cold US Temps Spur Heating Demand

February Nymex natural gas (NGG25) on Thursday closed up by +0.050 (+1.37%).

Feb nat-gas prices Thursday added to Wednesday's sharp gains and posted a 1-week high.  Below-normal US temperatures are boosting heating demand for nat-gas and are supporting prices.  Forecaster Maxar Technologies said Thursday that widespread low temperatures persist across the Midwest and East and that temperatures from Jan 18-22 will run colder than previously expected for the Midwest.
