A nursery worker who made vile comments to a toddler has been struck off.
A damning report told how Vikki Blair savaged young children's appearances, looked at confidential material and called her workmates names.
The most horrific thing she said was in May last year, when she told a tot, known as AA, : “What a f***ing m**go”.
Blair, in her 20s, had worked at the Rivendale Nursery in Bridge of Weir for around four years, the Paisley Daily Express reports.
And on various dates, between January 2017 and May 2021 she said a child ‘BB’ looked “like she has Down Syndrome, like the face and that.”
Another youngster, known as ‘DD’ was described by Blair as having “her hair it’s like handlebars, why would they dress her like that”.
Meanwhile she would refer to her workmates as a “m**g,” “f***ing m**go” and “s**z”.
Blair, who lives in the Bridge of Weir area, was removed from the professional register on Saturday.
It followed a Scottish Social Services Council hearing which deemed she was unfit to practice.
The tribunal also discovered she had opened the manager’s folder and read confidential information about a child and told a colleague.
The Rivendale Nursery in Bridge of Weir is part of a family chain of eight run by award-winning Collin Care Nurseries.
It has operated in the village since 1998.
Director Crawford Collin said: “As soon as I was made aware of this she was suspended.
“I led an investigation as to what had gone on and when the evidence was collected she was dismissed immediately.
“All the relevant agencies were informed.
“We took swift action on it and the Scottish Social Services Council have done the same thing.
“It was a very unfortunate and unsavoury situation.”
The Scottish Social Services Council said: “Social service workers are expected to communicate with people who use services and their colleague in an appropriate way.
“You stated “what a f***ing m**go” in reference to and in the presence of a child in your care.
“You discussed the physical appearances of two children in your care in a derogatory way and called your colleagues offensives names such as “m**go”, “s**z”, “m**g” and “f***ing m**go.”
“This was a serious failure to treat your colleagues and people who use services with dignity and respect.
“You used inappropriate, offensive and derogatory language at work.
“Your behaviour has fallen well below the standards expected of social service workers and calls into question your values and suitability to work in the sector.”
They added: “The incidents show a pattern of behaviour and an underlying attitudinal issue which is not easily remediable.
“You have not offered any apology or demonstrated any insight regarding your behaviour.
“You do not appear to appreciate the seriousness of your behaviour, the impact this was likely to have had on those affected and nor have you acknowledged any wrongdoing.”
