Nashik youth stayed back for 4 days in Odessa to get pet passport for his husky

NASHIK: Rohan Ambhure, a Nashik-based sixth-year student of the Odessa National Medical University, waited four additional days before leaving Ukraine just to make sure that his pet — an Alaskan husky named Delta — could come along with him. Ambhure needed that time to get a passport for Delta to leave Ukraine or be allowed into other countries.

“Even pets need passports to leave the country. Being in the sixth year, with some time left before the finals, I had planned to make his passport. However, because of the war, the process had to be hastened. The passport facility was taking time as the system was under pressure,” said Ambhure, who landed in New Delhi with Delta late on Friday night. He is now back home with the dog.
