PUNE: Nashik district has topped Covid vaccine coverage in the 12-14 age group, with about 90% of the eligible population covered. Jalna and Sangli districts - with 86% and 85% coverage - are inching closer to complete coverage as well.
But Mumbai, which has the highest number of beneficiaries in this age bracket (3.95 lakh), is still seeing extremely slow uptake - only 35% of children have received their first dose. The situation is no better in Pune - only 55% of children in the 12-14 age group here have taken the first dose and 30% have been given both.
