December Nasdaq 100 E-Mini futures (NQZ26) are down -0.77% this morning as rising Treasury yields dampened risk appetite, prompting investors to trim exposure to chipmakers.
The price of WTI crude rose nearly +1% on Wednesday as attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Saudi Arabia kept tensions in the region elevated. Increased Iranian attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and a storm heading toward U.S. oil-producing regions added to concerns about supply disruptions. Those risks outweighed optimism over a recovery in Middle East crude supplies.
