On Friday at 5 p.m. ET, officials conducted a 'go-no go poll,' a standard procedure before a spaceflight activity. During this poll, experts on the ground verbally confirmed that the spacecraft, Starliner, is prepared for flight. Mission controllers have given their approval for the launch to proceed as planned.
Despite the confirmation, there are still opportunities for flight controllers to make adjustments. NASA's latest timeline indicates that a final weather briefing will take place at 5:44 p.m. ET to assess if the weather conditions are suitable for Starliner's return journey.
If the undocking process goes smoothly, there will be another chance to modify Starliner's trajectory as it nears Earth. A separate 'go-no go poll' is scheduled for the spacecraft's deorbit burn at 11:17 p.m. ET, as outlined by the space agency.
