Some 15 million people in Delhi are gearing up to vote on Wednesday in a state election that will test prime minister Narendra Modi’s appeal against the incumbent party that first rose to power on an anti-corruption message.
India’s capital has been administered since 2015 by the Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, who was forced to resign as chief minister last year after being jailed on corruption charges. He is currently out on bail.
