Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen has set his sights on winning a trophy with Napoli.
The striker, as reported by the Manchester Evening News at the start of November, has been included on United's list of targets as they continue to draw up a shortlist of possible options to strengthen their attacking options. Manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that the club will be in the market to sign a new striker in next month's transfer window following the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo left United last month after having his contract terminated in the aftermath of his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan. His exit has left the club with just one out-and-out striker in the form of Anthony Martial.

United have struggled to score goals at a rapid rate of knots this season, plundering just 20 in the Premier League so far. They desperately need to add to their attacking ranks and Osimhen, who joined Napoli from French outfit Lille back in July 2020, is on their radar.
But such is Napoli's current position at the top of the Serie A table, it would be almost impossible for United to sign the Nigerian international next month. Nevertheless, Osimhen has pledged his immediate future to the Italian giants, outlining his ambitions to win a trophy with the club.
"It's one of the best clubs in Europe and I want to win here," Osimhen told Il Mattino. "The future is this moment, try to win something relevant in Italy.
'It's hard to think about something better than Napoli, one of the best clubs in Italy, right now. I am only focused on this season because we haven’t done anything yet. We must win something and then we'll see what happens."
The striker, who would fit Ten Hag's style of play, given his agility and pace at the top end of the pitch, has been excellent for Napoli so far this season, scoring ten goals and registering three assists in just 14 appearances in all competitions. He scored seven goals in six games prior to the World Cup pause.
His impressive form so far this term has meant that he has picked up where he left off from last season. He netted 18 goals during the 2021/22 campaign, as well as chalking up six assists, in 32 games. He also missed a large portion of the season with a fracture in his cheekbone.
