Nando's takes popular option off its 'unlimited' refills drinks menu

Nando’s has announced a change to its drinks menu from October, affecting the popular unlimited refills offer.

Diners can currently enjoy as many glasses of fizzy drinks as they want, including Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite Zero, at a cost of between £3.25 and £3.45 depending on the location of the restaurant. However, from October, customers visiting Nando’s will no longer be able to enjoy refills on Coca-Cola.

People will still be able to order a glass when visiting the restaurant, but they won’t be able to get free refills. The change comes in line with the Government's strategy to tackle obesity, with new rules being implemented later this year on the sale of products which are high in fat, salt or sugar.

Customers will still be able to enjoy unlimited refills on sugar-free drinks, which includes Diet Coke and Coke Zero. A Nando’s spokesperson said: "From this October, customers will still be able to enjoy an ice-cold glass of Classic Coke with their Peri Peri.

“Due to the new Government HFSS legislation we won’t be able to offer classic Coca-Cola as part of our bottomless offering, however customers can still enjoy one glass of classic Coke and then go bottomless on any of our low-sugar and sugar free options for free after that."
