The business also makes products under the Pizza Express, Costa Coffee, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Pret A Manger and Red's True Barbecue brands.
It is owned by Liechtenstein-based The Taro III Trust, the same fund which owns Nando's.
During the year the company relocated its head office from Skelmersdale to Manchester.
A statement signed off by the board said: "The group continued to see growth in the year driven by the development of both new and existing brands.
"The Covid-19 global pandemic continued to be a challenge with the relaxing of lockdown restrictions, combined with the 'pingdemic' and inflation.
"The ever-changing landscape has offered both risk and opportunity. The group has reacted promptly to be able to take full advantage of the opportunities offered to mitigate risk where possible.
"The group has set its financial targets in anticipation of an inflationary environment with further tightening of consumer spend and reduced consumer confidence but continues to monitor the macro-economic environment and adjust its strategy accordingly."
It added: "The group will continue to focus on growing existing brands through new product development, existing product development and through increasing distribution."
