A fresh booking for 37-year-old Luke Daley in Pima County, Arizona, has reignited speculation around the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of 'TODAY' host Savannah Guthrie.
Daley, who was previously detained but not arrested or charged during the investigation into Guthrie's suspected kidnapping, is now being held on a reported bond of $22,500, prompting renewed online comparisons with the masked suspect dubbed 'Porch Guy'.
According to official records, Daley's latest booking information lists a bond of $22,500. His arrest has triggered a fresh wave of social media posts suggesting he resembles the hooded figure seen in doorbell-camera footage released by the FBI.
Authorities have not publicly identified Daley as that suspect or linked his latest booking to Guthrie's disappearance.
The development comes more than seven months after Guthrie vanished from her Tucson-area home. The 84-year-old was last seen on 31 January and reported missing the following day. Investigators believe she was kidnapped, and the FBI later released doorbell footage showing a masked man outside her home.
Nancy Guthrie Update Revives 'Porch Guy' Comparisons
Jonathan Lee Riches, a self-styled investigator who has posted about the case, drew attention to Daley's latest booking as news of it circulated online.
'Luke Daley BOOKED into the Pima County jail on weapons & drug charges. Where is Nancy Guthrie?,' Riches wrote. He later added, 'WHOA! Luke Daley kinda looks like the Nancy Guthrie perp.'

Other social media users also made speculative comparisons involving Daley's build, gait and appearance. Some shared photographs and videos while claiming physical similarities with the person seen on Guthrie's doorbell camera.
As of publication, those comparisons remain unverified. Authorities have not publicly identified Daley as the masked man, and none of the online observations amounts to forensic evidence linking him to Guthrie's disappearance.
Daley has previously rejected the comparisons. 'It's not me. I don't see the resemblance of it looking like me. Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case,' he told Arizona's Family in an earlier interview.
Luke Daley Previously Denied Any Role in Guthrie Case
Daley first drew public attention in connection with the investigation after he was detained outside a Culver's restaurant on 13 February.
His Range Rover was searched and towed, while his mother, Mary Chapman Daley, was detained at their home as investigators searched the property. Neither Daley nor his mother was arrested or charged following that earlier encounter.
Daley later said he spent four or five hours in the back of a police vehicle while authorities searched his Range Rover and home. He said he eventually realised the activity was likely related to Guthrie's disappearance and became concerned that he was 'going to be framed for this'. 'I've nothing to do with this case,' he said in the interview.
Daley also urged people 'not to go off speculation of everything you hear on the internet', saying the attention surrounding him had made it 'hard to go anywhere'. His attorney, Chris Scileppi, previously said Daley and his mother were exploring possible legal action involving law enforcement and 'online sleuths'.
Nancy Guthrie Investigation Remains Active
The FBI released doorbell-camera footage on 10 February showing a masked man outside Guthrie's home on the night she disappeared. Investigators later described the person as a suspect, approximately 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall and of average build.
Authorities have continued reviewing surveillance footage from the Catalina Foothills area and have appealed for recordings that could help establish what happened around the time Guthrie disappeared.
Investigators have also pursued DNA evidence. DNA recovered from gloves found several miles from Guthrie's home did not match entries in CODIS, according to the supplied reporting. The FBI said the gloves appeared to match those worn by the masked person seen in the doorbell footage.
Authorities also said DNA recovered from Guthrie's property that did not belong to her or close contacts could be examined through investigative genetic genealogy.
Daley, meanwhile, has maintained that he wants Guthrie found and the person responsible identified. 'I, like everyone else, want to see her come home. I want the actual suspect to be found,' he said in his earlier interview.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department has said the investigation will remain active until Guthrie is located or all available leads have been exhausted.
For now, the renewed 'Porch Guy' comparisons involving Daley remain online speculation, with authorities making no public announcement connecting him to the masked suspect seen at Guthrie's home.
