Names of anyone fined over Downing Street parties 'will not be made public'

The names of anyone fined in relation to alleged lockdown parties in Downing Street and elsewhere will not be made public, it has been reported.

Only the number of fines issued will be made public by the Metropolitan Police.

Scotland Yard is also expected to publish its reasons for issuing any fixed penalty notices (FPNs), according to an advice sheet said to have been distributed to officials by the Cabinet Office.
