Mystery phone calls of Brit to friend before he suddenly died after leaving club

A Brit who died in mysterious circumstances in Bali made a series of late-night phone calls to a pal just moments before his death.

Charlie Bradley, 28, was visiting the popular Indonesian tourist island with a pal when locals found him laying in the middle of the road outside a medical centre early Monday morning.

He had been partying at a popular beach club nearby in North Kuta.

The estate agent's grieving family are now desperate to find out what happened to him in the time between leaving the club and him being found dead.

Charlie's sister Beth revealed that during that time, he made three calls to a friend - but they're unaware of what he had to say.

Beth, Charlie's sister, said her beloved sibling made three calls to a pal just minutes before his death (7 News)

Reconstructing his final minutes, loved ones know he left Finns Beach Club in a taxi at around 12.10am.

“From there all we know is Charlie was then found in the middle of the street on the ground,” Beth said.

Beth revealed how Charlie had been travelling with his best bud, but they became separated.

The best friend was unaware of his death until a hospital doctor answered the phone when he tried to call him.

Witnesses said they helped get him into a cab headed for Denpasar hospital in Bali's North Kuta (7 News)

His friends say he was not on drugs at the time, but his family fear his drink could've been spiked.

Beth told 7News: “He liked to party, but he knew his limits. All of his belongings were on him — it just doesn’t make sense."

One witness said they saw a group of people putting Charlie in a taxi head for Denpasar hospital.

But during the journey, the young man tragically passed away, the witness told police.

A doctor at the hospital said Charlie had been dropped off by a man, who showed medics a video of him appearing confused and disorientated.

“He’d fell to the ground and was banging his head on the ground and then he was unconscious and (the man) then brought him into the hospital,” she said.

The mourning family has made a desperate plea for anyone with information to come forward and speak with them.

Bradley, a British national born to two Brit parents, has lived in the Adelaide area of Australia for more than a decade. He moved to Sydney around a year ago to live with his partner.

He had plans to return to the UK in October to be his brother's best man at his wedding.

The family has set up a fundraiser to bring Bradley's body back to Adelaide, and so they can afford plane tickets for his eldest brother Jack and his young family to come to Australia for the funeral.

Two witnesses have been interviewed as part of Bali Police's ongoing investigation.
