Mystery after elderly couple found dead at their home as new details emerge

An English couple who were found dead in their bungalow were last seen alive shopping a week before Christmas, 2020, confirmed Irish police.

Nicholas and Hilary Smith were found dead at their home in Clonee, near Fethard, in Tipperary after neighbours grew concerned that their car had not been moved for some time, in June, 2021.

Gardai have been investigating the deaths and have now revealed that they were seen on December 17, 2020, as they collected a prescription from a pharmacy in Callan, Co Kilkenny, less than 20km from their bungalow.
