A Welsh hiker recently made an intriguing discovery while hiking on the Hay Bluff in Wales. Craig Muir stumbled upon a 10-foot tall silver monolith in a muddy area of his hike among the Powys uplands. Muir described the structure as resembling a UFO, with a fine metallic appearance akin to surgical steel.
Despite windy weather conditions, Muir noted that the monolith appeared perfectly leveled and steady, sparking curiosity about how it ended up there. He observed no visible tracks around the structure, leading him to speculate that it may have been placed there deliberately rather than simply thrown in.
Speculation arose that the monolith could have been transported to the location by helicopter, as driving up the hill is not feasible. Richard Haynes, a photographer who captured images of the monolith, initially thought it might be a scientific research device for collecting rainwater but later dismissed this idea due to its unusual height and appearance.
The discovery of the monolith in Wales follows a similar finding in England in 2020. A monolith was found on Compton Beach on the Isle of Wight on December 7, 2020. Prior to these discoveries, monoliths were also found in Utah, Romania, and California in late November and early December 2020.
