Myles Garrett makes a statement after huge game vs. Steelers

The Cleveland Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football, and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett played a huge role in why.

Racking up three sacks, a forced fumble, and a massive eight pressures in the win, Garrett was interviewed after the game. And during his interview, Garrett made a statement to the rest of the NFL: He’s the best defensive player in the NFL.

“I’m number one. That’s from EDGE1 to Defensive Player of the Year. I’m the guy. That runs through me. There is no other person being defended as I am, or schemed or planned against like I am. So that just goes to show, you can throw that out the window; I’m going to find a way.”

It’s hard to argue with Garrett, who now sits second in the NFL in sacks with 10 on the season. After winning the award a year ago, Garrett is coming on strong in the back half of the season to prove he deserves to repeat as the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
