Myleene Klass has accused minister for Women Maria Caulfield of ignoring her requests for an in-person meeting to discuss law changes around miscarriages.
The 45-year-old former Hear’Say singer is lobbying to change UK laws to ensure women will not be forced to experience up to three miscarriages before receiving medical help.
This is something close to the mother-of-three’s heart, having experienced four miscarriages herself.
She opened up on the subject last year in her documentary Myleene: Miscarriage and Me, saying she could not speak about her tragedies for a year and admitted she will “never forget or get over” them.
Klass has now taken to Twitter this week to call out the MP, 49, for allegedly not responding to her requests to meet.
On Tuesday, she wrote: “Hi @mariacaulfield. I’m still waiting for a meeting to lock down the #PLR changes as advised by medical experts.
“@TheLancet @RCObsGyn @tommys @_OliviaBlake and the 250,000 women (p/a) and their dead babies. They all deserve more than a Zoom call as currently suggested by you.”
Morning @mariacaulfield. I have Messaged you (again) requesting an in person meeting with you. You’re the health secretary who won’t meet to discuss women’s health? @_OliviaBlake @tommys @RCObsGyn and I are waiting.

In another tweet on Wednesday, she added: “Morning @mariacaulfield. I have messaged you (again) requesting an in person meeting with you.
“You’re the health secretary who won’t meet to discuss women’s health? @_OliviaBlake @tommys @RCObsGyn and I are waiting.”
The Standard has contacted Ms Caulfield for comment.
