Product sales have passed 500,000 for eco-tech firm Myenergi, as it targets the market-leading title for domestic electric vehicle charge points.
The seven-year-old Grimsby company’s rapid acceleration from start-up to significant employer has seen it named as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, and forecasts will see the one million product milestone come in half that time.
Chief executive Lee Sutton said it will be achieved by 2025 as manufacturing operations are ramped up alongside the Stallingborough state-of-the-art headquarters, where a 65,000 sq ft site is now being readied. Myenergi now employs 450 people, with subsidiaries in Germany, Australia, Ireland and Benelux.

Mr Sutton, who co-founded the £53.8 million business with chief marketing officer Jordan Brompton, said: “With demand for eco-smart home energy technology increasing at a record rate, we’re delighted to have surpassed 500,000 global sales – a huge testament to the work of our talented team.
“Our next big milestone will be the sale of our one millionth device, which we are firmly on track to deliver by 2025, helped by our state-of-the-art new manufacturing facility that will become operational in the coming months.”
Sales of the company’s Zappi smart EV charge point doubled in 2022, with more than 55,000 units shipped. It has recently added the Libbi home battery to the range, which also includes the Eddi solar power diverter and Harvi wireless current monitor.
The devices are designed to work together allowing homeowners to control and optimise energy usage, maximising self-consumption from roof-top panels and other generating technology.
Mrs Brompton said: “Our Zappi solar EV charger continues to outperform the market, delivering growth of 96 per cent last year, compared to 40 per cent growth in pure electric car registrations. We are on course to become the UK’s leading provider of home EV charge points before the end of the year; something we could only have dreamed was possible when first starting the business.”
The pair launched the company in Binbrook in 2016, initially crowdfunding to aid product development before attracting major backing to step change the business. It moved to Pioneer Park in 2021.
