A new specialist dental practice is to open in Grimsby town centre.
Leading national NHS provider MyDentist is bringing a four-surgery facility to Palace Court, taking the former bathroom retail unit on Victoria Street.
A six-figure sum is being injected into the facility, with 10 jobs to be created.

A spokesperson for MyDentist said: “We’re delighted to confirm that MyDentist is investing considerably in the development of a new state-of-the-art orthodontic practice at Palace Court in Grimsby.
“The planned four surgery practice, which will offer treatment for both NHS and private orthodontic patients, is due to open in May 2022 and will create local job opportunities.”
Bathstore closed in the summer of 2019 after it collapsed, leaving the former theatre bar with only Domino’s as a tenant after Carphone Warehouse opened in Curry’s, just down the road.
MyDentist’s investment has been welcomed.
Lawrence Brown, managing partner of Scotts Property, acts for the landlord.
He said: “This shows how premises can be repurposed from their original design. When the scheme was developed 15 years ago the retail sector operated differently to how it does now.
"These premises were designed to be a retail shop and operated as such for many years, but recent changes in consumer habits mean that demand for shops is not what it used to be. As such it makes sense to look at other uses, such as those in the health sector, where operators are looking to provide their services in locations that are easily accessible. It’s clear that these premises fit the bill.”
