A pub landlord has hit back at a one-star review questioning his German-inspired menu saying his chef wife is "more German than Hitler was".
A diner was left less-than-impressed by the menu at the Three Pigeons Inn in Graigfechan, near Ruthin and left a scathing review on Tripadvisor about how the food was not what "it used to be". That's despite a solid rating of 4.5 out of five on both Tripadvisor and Google since the 350-year-old pub was taken on by owners Nik and Julia, North Wales Live reports.
Nik, who has previous form for coming down hard on negative reviews, was quick to respond to the diner named Dave. Dave initially took to Google to leave his review: "Friendly enough staff, unfortunatley [sic] the food was only mediocre, portion size was good. The menue [sic] choice was limited, not really the traditional pub it used to be."
