MEERUT: Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Puja Tomar (30), a native of Bijrol in Baghpat district, made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win a bout at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

She achieved this with a split-decision victory over Brazil’s Rayanne dos Santos in the 52kg division category in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, on Saturday.
