The mother of a man who was found dead in a field a month ago has issued an emotional plea for information. Aaron Luke Davies, 31, was found dead in the Penybont area of Llandrindod Wells, Powys, on January 23.
In a statement earlier this month Aaron's family said they were "absolutely devastated" by his death and that he was "known and loved by many" in Llandrindod Wells and the surrounding areas. Dyfed-Powys Police has issued an appeal for information and is treating Aaron's death as unexplained.
Now Aaron's mum Jackie Roper has paid further tribute to her son and issued a new appeal for information on how he died. In a statement she said: "We as a family are completely devastated by our loss. Aaron was a kind, gentle, carefree soul who will be greatly missed by all that knew him and our lives won't ever be the same without him. We cannot comprehend the circumstances of his death and need answers to give us some sort of closure."

A previous family tribute heard Aaron was a keen martial arts fan having been a black belt in karate at a young age and represented Wales in national karate championships. He was also a lover of hiking and the outdoors.
Jackie has also launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the "heartbreaking task" of organising Aaron's funeral, which will take place on Tuesday March 7 at 1.30pm at Eglwys Oen Duw Church in Beulah, followed by cremation at 4pm at Aberystwyth crematorium. She said the family wanted "to give him the very best send-off" but were struggling to afford it due to financial issues.
"Having to plan a funeral for your child is something that no parent ever expects to have to do and is the worst nightmare imaginable," she said. "Neither his father or I are in a great financial position hence the reason for the campaign.
"Aaron's bank card was also stolen at some point before or around his death with the police confirming that numerous cash withdrawals had been made. Obviously this has made it harder for us to cover the cost of his funeral. More importantly I want to appeal to the public to come forward with any information as to Aaron's whereabouts between January 16 and 23 or with any other information that they think may help police with their inquiries."
An inquest into Aaron's death last week at Pontypridd Coroners' Court was adjourned indefinitely. Dyfed-Powys Police said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Aaron's death which is currently being treated as unexplained. A force spokesman said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who may have any information about Aaron and may have seen him between January 16 and 23 to come forward.
"Anyone that could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police either online here, by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908. Quote reference: DP-20230123-118."
