My wife and I are 70 and have a grown-up son and a daughter, who both have children of their own. My daughter has been through a very tough year – problems in her marriage and difficulties with her son who’s been diagnosed with ADHD and struggles at school.
To top it off, she fell ill a few months ago and needed a spell in hospital and then time to recover from the surgery afterwards at home.
