While some parents announce their baby's name before their child's birth, others choose to keep it a secret until they arrive into the world. But one expecting mum's surprise was "ruined" when her brother coincidentally picked out the same name for his new puppy.
Wanting it all to herself, she tried to guilt trip him into changing it by saying he would be a "bad uncle" if he refuses. Taking to Reddit, the man said: "My sister is seven months pregnant with her first kid. She and her husband didn't want to tell anyone the name of their to be born son until he's born, fine by me I'd probably do the same.
"Well, last week, I adopted a pup and named him Eddie. I've always liked 'human names' for dogs and growing up on Ed Ed & Eddy it just felt right." He went on to explain how his girlfriend posted a picture of Eddie on her Instagram alongside his new collar and custom dog bowl.
