However, what's a little more unusual is for them to take photographs of your home and pretend that it belongs to them on social media.
That's what one woman said happened to her on Mumsnet, and she was horrified to read her neighbour's caption on Instagram, claiming that she'd spent six months doing the cottage up, despite the fact the original poster described the neighbour's home as 'a mess' because she's currently in the process of doing it up.
