Grandparents are fountains of great wisdom, with decades of experiences of the trials and tribulations of life.
And one thing they're always particularly keen to share their thoughts on is your life love - whether you want to discuss it or not.
And while their advice and meddlesome ways may be annoying at the time, there is no denying they can get things done - normally because they're not afraid to speak plainly when they see something amiss.
One woman recently found this out after her great-grandma decided to take action and politely prompt her boyfriend into getting down on one knee.

Taking to TikTok, a woman who goes by the username logannjadee6 shared a vid of her great-grandmother approaching her boyfriend Nate in the kitchen during a family gathering.
It isn't clear exactly what she says from the footage alone, but you can see her resting a hand on his shoulder, while Nate breaks into a wide grin.
The amused great-granddaughter explained that the 93-year-old matriarch had "set him straight", explaining that she can be seen "asking my man when he's going to propose because it's taking awhile".
The video then shows a second clip, this time showing a nighttime scene with fireworks lighting up the skies. As clarified by logannjadee6, this shows Nate " proposing four months later".
Followers have been wildly impressed by the grandmother's scheming abilities, with some even asking if they might hire her out to interfere in their own love lives.
One fellow granny wrote, "I love being a grandma. You can say and ask ANYTHING and it’s ok to!!", to which logannjadee6 replied, "YES!! She’s earned her right to! He thought it was funny".
Another commenter recalled: "I had to do the same to my brother. I told him it was either him or her and I was on her side. I won and have a great sister-in-law!"
Her husband-to-be Nate even took to the comments section, revealing that he "already knew I was going to" pop the question before the outspoken grandmother got involved. Still, a gentle nudge in the right direction never hurt anybody.
