Where do you stay in London?
Our favourite hotel is Claridge’s, or we stay with Brooklyn’s family.
Where do you go to shop?
There is one vintage store Brooklyn took me to but I can’t remember the name. He got me this skirt that I just wore on holiday in Mexico, this light green-pinkish slip skirt. It’s so cute. Going into a supermarket feels so indulgent to me, so anywhere I go in the world, I love finding the local supermarket.
Best restaurant?
One of my favourite restaurants ever is in London: Gymkhana. I love it. Any time we visit the city, we try to eat there.
You land in London jet-lagged, what’s your room service order?
Coffee and an orange juice. And then croissants or a blueberry muffin, that’s the go-to.
Do you have any secret London spots?
You’ll laugh, like, that’s not a secret! But there was this one bubble tea place we went to after a late dinner called Bubbleology. It had every single flavour, it was so fun. I felt like I was five years old.
Who do you call when you want to have fun?
My brother Brad. You know those people who have really great energy no matter what you’re doing? It doesn’t matter if it’s a card game or going to a restaurant.

If you could buy any London building to live in, where would you choose?
Claridge’s, I love it. The first place where Brooklyn and I said ‘I love you’ was in Claridge’s. Everyone there is so kind. It’s obviously such a beautiful hotel, but it also has that homey feel. You know when you read Eloise at the Plaza when you’re young? I feel like that when I stay.
Where else is good for a date?
Something Brooklyn and I love about London and New York is that you don’t really have to make a plan. You can go from one pub to another. It’s a walking city and I love that so much. It feels more adventurous. That’s what we did for our first date in London, and then it ended up raining. We walked home, literally soaking wet. But it was so fun.
So you don’t mind the British weather?
I prefer the sun, but I love when it rains and you have the day off and you can be cosy and watch a movie.
What is coming up next for you?
I’m finishing my movie right now that I wrote and directed and am in. I actually wrote the script when I was 23 and I put it down for a little bit and then picked it back up. It’s taken me some years to finish. I really hope people like it. And I was so excited to do the GCDS campaign because I love Giuliano [Calza, founder and creative director]. He makes fashion so fun.
Who do you think is the best-dressed Londoner ever?
Kate Moss always looks so cool without trying. She just is. London style is so timeless. Everyone looks so beautiful.
Do any Britishisms confuse you?
I don’t understand why you guys call an ‘arugula salad’ a ‘rocket salad’, but I love the way you say ‘aluminium foil’. But I’ve gotten used to it. I remember I was with Harper and I was helping her pick out an outfit. She asked me for ‘pants and a jumper’. I could figure out what the jumper was, then I gave her the pants and she was like, ‘No I mean pants’.
So, Nicola… are you an honorary Brit now?
I hope I am! That would be the biggest compliment.
