'My husband cheated on me because I don't wear sexy underwear - I'm furious'

Infidelities in any relationship are hard to deal with, let alone when you're married. While cheaters may scramble for an excuse for their adultery, one husband was bizarrely honest as he made the jaw-dropping claim that he cheated on his wife because she didn't wear sexy underwear.

Taking to popular forum website Reddit, the wife explained her shocking ordeal as she walked in on her husband in bed with another woman, throwing four years of relationship and two years of marriage down the toilet. While the couple claimed to have sex approximately four times a week, this supposedly wasn't enough for the lustful husband.

In her post, the woman explained: "I found my husband with another woman in our bed. I started running away in shock and he couldn’t really leave the apartment before putting his clothes on.

"He started first with a half-apology and later explained why he was cheating on me.

"I never made effort for him. I’m always wearing comfortable underwear and never the sexy type. That’s a turn off for him. He felt like I didn’t really care.

"I was stunned and didn’t understand what he meant. Why didn’t you tell me this? Why not tried to buy sexy lingerie like many men did to their wives?

"He said he didn’t want to 'offend' me by suggesting that my underwear were dull and a turn off."

"So it was basically my fault that you cheated? He didn’t say no. Just looked at me crying his eyes out," she added.

Despite the husband trying to claim that the woman he cheated with "meant nothing" and arguing that he could fix the marriage, the wife insisted that he left.

Given that the couple had a healthy sex life, the woman was undeniably shocked by the excuse, and admitted to "never knowing" that underwear was a big deal in relationships.

Preferring comfy bras, the woman added: "I don’t feel unsexy in my very comfortable undies at all. Not once. I love my body. I work out 1.5 - 2hr a day and I’m very confident in my own skin.

"And how could he say that he wasn’t satisfied with our sex life when we’re intimate at least 4 times a week? Was it all a lie when he said that I drove him crazy and how I could turn him on with one look at him?"

"I will never understand men. He gave me a false sense of confidence."

Ending the tale by repeatedly cursing her husband, she added: "I hope you get f***** by karma wearing sexy red lace g-string."

Slamming the husband for his behaviour, people rushed to the comment section to reassure the woman that he was in the wrong - and she shouldn't feel guilty for what underwear she buys.

However, they were also suspicious of his admission as they believed it was all a lie to excuse his disloyal behaviour.

One said: "Bizarrely it says so much about the OP [original poster] and so pathetic about the cheater. The only thing he could come up with is underwear, probably because OP is wicked amazing and there isn't anything else to knock, and that he's just weak."

Another agreed: "It has nothing to do with your underwear, he’s grasping at straws to try and find an excuse for his behaviour.

"And he has the audacity to gaslight the s*** out of you after being caught in the act. He is something else."

A third said: "This is the dumbest excuse I’ve ever heard for cheating. This is something that can easily be communicated if it was really that much of a concern. OP’s soon to be ex husband is just a sleazy person with no respect for her."
