A woman whose co-worker has been driving her up the wall says she reached the end of her tether when she accused her of stealing her parking spot - and decided to exact her "petty revenge".
According to this fed-up employee, the parking spot in question isn't assigned to anyone. Before the pandemic, she had worked 6 am to 2:30 pm shifts at the office for years, and so would always bagsy the best parking spot before anyone else got there.
During the pandemic, she worked from home for two years and so had no need for a parking spot. The entitled colleague, who she refers to only as "A" , didn't get permission to work from home, and so, in her absence, parked in the spot up until mid-2022, at which point people started to return to the office.
When she herself returned, she began to take the prized parking spot once again - as she's always the first person at the office.
Her sister, who works at the same site as her, works in the same unit as 'A' and, after her first day back, revealed she'd been having a good old moan about her.
Taking to Reddit, the unnamed woman wrote: "A complains to my sister how someone 'took her spot'. She does not have an assigned spot.
"My sister already knew she was talking about me since she always sees my car there and knows A has been parking there. A went off ranting about how someone had the nerve to park in her spot (again not assigned) and my sister said nothing.
"She was upset because she got there early at 5:55 am and someone took her spot. I guess she thinks no one parks until the exact time they are supposed to be at the office."
She went on to explain that she isn't keen on 'A' for many reasons, and particularly doesn't like that she just does the bare minimum on the team, leaving her sister to "pick up the slack". She's even previously taken credit for her sister's work.
Furious at her latest antics, she decided to take her sweet revenge and got to work even earlier the following morning.
Recalling her plan, the woman wrote: "I usually leave at 5:30 am and would get there at 5:50 am. I left at 5:25 am and got there at 5:45 am.
"A had complained again about how she got there even earlier and someone was parked in her spot again. My sister tells me about A's plan to leave even earlier the next day. So I leave earlier too lol. The next day I go there at 5:40. I don't mind leaving earlier because there is less traffic."
She continued: "If she didn't make such a big deal about it being her spot I wouldn't care. I mean parking one car over isn't making you walk that much further. But still. I don't want her to park there because of her entitled attitude and well mostly because I know it bothers her. So there is more.
"I usually have a lot of dr appointments. I typically like going in the morning and coming to work afterwards. Instead, I started scheduling all my appointments in the afternoon so I could park in that spot before A.
"But wait. There is more. I was then given the option of work from home a few days a week. I was told I could choose any days I wanted. At this point, A was also able to work from home a few days as well. So what did I do? I asked my sister which days A comes into the office.
"So I made those my office days too lol. And if I need to be late for an appointment I now schedule it in the morning on one of As work-from-home days."
The scheming employee admitted it gives her "great joy" to see 'A' parked on the other side of her when she leaves work, and added that she "still complains someone has been parking in her spot for over a year now".
One fellow Reddit user applauded: "She is never going to get that spot. Delicious."
Another commented: "This may have reached peak pettiness! I absolutely love it!"
