My editor picks from H&M's London Fashion Week autumn show – available to shop now

High street giant H&M has debuted its autumn 2026 collection at London Fashion Week – and it’s all available to shop now.

As luxury labels give us a look at spring/summer 2027, H&M – along with M&S and Cos at New York Fashion Week – are shaking up the traditional schedule.

This isn’t without controversy – at both H&M’s show and Cos’s NYFW show, PETA protestors stormed the stage. But this ‘see-now-buy-now’ model appeals to fashion lovers who want to instantly build their autumn wardrobe with inspiration from the catwalk.

Alex Consani opened the star-studded show at London’s gleaming new Kensington Olympia. With Cruz Beckham in the front row, Lila Moss walking and Labrinth performing, the collection – titled H&M&YOU&I – brought together music, theatre, tech and architecture influencers for a capsule that you’d be hard-pressed to think was high street.

A covetable mix of evening wear staples and elevated everyday pieces, Victoriana reigned supreme. Shirts were high-necked and cascading, corsets featured embroidery and lace-up detailing, while dresses were playfully short and bubble-hemmed, or dramatically long and ruffled. Styling demonstrated the pieces' wearability, from low-rise jeans and military jackets to frocks paired with metallic clutches and strappy heels – showcasing ready-made outfits available to shop instantly.

Whatever your wardrobe is lacking, you’ll likely find it in the H&M collection. Fresh from the star-studded show, here’s my pick of the best.

H&M lace insert strappy dress

It was hard choosing between the mini dresses – this corset bandeau style also caught my eye (£84.99, Hm.com) – but the lace insert dress stood out as a year- round wearable piece. Style with boots and opaque tights in the winter before swapping to ballet flats in the summer.

H&M fitted shoulder pad blouse

Shirting was key this season. They came in all forms, from fitted to floaty – but this blouse was my favourite. For less than £40, it’s a flattering choice to dress up or down. The blouse stands out with its shoulder padding, high neck and sheer finish.

H&M beaded mini skirt

Forget an LBD, your wardrobe needs an LBS for winter. This budget beaded number features embroidered appliqués, an extra mini-hem and a low-rise waist. I’d style with tights, kitten-heel boots and a floaty shirt for an evening look with a bit of edge.

H&M slim regular waist jeans

Slimmer fits are overtaking baggier styles this season. These cotton denim jeans feature a mid-rise waist and a slim cut from the knee to the hem, with slits adding the final flourish.

H&M balloon sleeve cotton blouse

 (H&M)
(H&M)

A useful styling piece, H&M’s high-neck blouse boasts balloon sleeves and delicate pleating detail. Style under a corset for evening or pair with knitted vests for the office.

H&M embroidery-detail jacket

 (H&M)
(H&M)

It’s only day two of London Fashion Week, but I’ve spotted military jackets everywhere, from street style to the catwalks. H&M’s take adds feminine detailing with the embroidery on each sleeve, while padded shoulders and a slightly cropped cut give it a gloriously eighties feel.

H&M ruffled maxi dress

 (H&M)
(H&M)

This dress had its own moment on the runway. Distinguished by its high neck and floor-sweeping length, the ruffles give it flattering movement. For the approaching party season, pair with black kitten heels and a leather jacket.

H&M lace-up corset top

 (H&M)
(H&M)

The definition of ‘jeans and a nice top’, this corset punches above its price tag. With its high neck, delicate pleating and lace inserts, the top is designed with jacquard weave and a flattering curved hem.
