‘My brother’s dreams of being a footballer ended in the English Channel’

The brother of a teenager killed in the deadliest incident involving migrant crossings in the Channel on record has described his heartbreak exactly two years on from the sinking.

Zana Mamand Mohammad said his brother Twana had hoped to one day become a professional footballer but that “his dreams ended in the English channel” in 2021.
