'My 34E breasts are agony, but my husband won't let me get reduction'

A woman whose 34E boobs have left her living in agony has revealed how her husband has "outright forbidden" her from undergoing breast reduction surgery.

She explained how the operation would not only improve her physical health but also her self-esteem as her breasts have caused her unimaginable pain throughout her entire adulthood.

But the 40-year-old remains in two minds about the surgery, as going ahead with it would "upset" her husband of 12 years. Taking to Reddit, she said: "I've been seriously considering getting a breast reduction, but here's the twist - my husband has outright forbidden me from doing so.

"Let me make it clear that I understand we're not living in the 1950s, and I am a grown adult capable of making my own decisions - but here's where things get complicated. I respect my husband's feelings and opinions, and going against his wishes doesn't sit right with me. It's not about him being 'in charge' or anything like that, but rather a desire to consider his perspective and feelings as part of our partnership."

She went on to explain how he objects to the surgery because he believes she's struggling with "a twisted body image" rather than the pain caused by her breasts.

"His reasoning for objecting to the breast reduction is that he loves my breasts just the way they are," she added. "He thinks they're beautiful and he doesn't want them smaller.

"According to him, it's my mental health that needs attention, not my body.

"He's genuinely concerned that I'm spiralling into self-hatred and believes I should work on accepting myself rather than seeking surgical alterations."

She says this is the only cosmetic surgery she has ever considered as she knows going down to a B cup would be life changing for her.

The woman said: "I'm torn between respecting my husband's concerns and prioritising my own happiness and well-being.

"I love and value our relationship, but I also want to feel comfortable and confident in my own skin."

Seeking advice, the woman has taken to Reddit to ask users whether she should go through with the surgery or not.

In response, one user said: "I've known one woman who has had breast reduction done - she has never, ever regretted it. The back pain alone was apparently enough to justify it entirely."

Another user added: "Weigh your boobies and put the equivalent weight evenly into pantyhose that can support the weight.

"Then make your husband walk around with the device on his shoulders for a day and ask how he feels. It's not his decision if you want breast reduction. Your health should always come first."

A third user said: "I am shocked at his response! If his balls were a problem and removal was the solution, would you forbid it? This is crazy - he should want the best for you."

One more user added: "I had a reduction and It improved my quality of life so much.

"Think about this. Your husband is more interested in his sexual preference than in your physical comfort. That's not a good person.

"I bet you might think of other ways in which his selfishness becomes obvious. Have the surgery."
