National Museums Liverpool (NML) is platforming musicians from across the Liverpool City Region in Museum Sessions, a new online series premiering with a performance from Låpsley, available on YouTube from March 16.
Showcasing National Museums Liverpool’s venues and promoting local talent, Museum Sessions will feature five musicians performing in some of NML’s most instantly recognisable spaces. The sessions will showcase performances among deep sea creatures and dinosaurs at World Museum, as well as the world-renowned sculpture room at the Walker Art Gallery.
The series premiered with a performance by Låpsley, March 16, in the surroundings of the aquarium at World Museum. Born Holly Fletcher, Låpsley, who grew up in Southport started producing her own music at 17 years old with her 2016 debut album Long Way Home garnering widespread praise across the globe.
