A murder investigation has been launched after a patient was attacked at a mental health facility in east London.
Emergency services were called to the facility in Mile End just after 10pm on Saturday, February 28.
A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition, where he later died on March 5.
The patient has since been named as Abdul Said.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.
Yunus Uddin, 27, also a patient at the hospital on Bancroft Road, was charged with attempted murder on Monday, March 2.
He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday where he was remanded in custody.
